After the rain the souls of insects cry, the poor
Creatures homes all washed away by the
Dark clouds in the sky.
After the rain the ground pleads for mercy, for how
Many sodden days has the Earth seen water washing
Over it’s surface, taking goodness and leaving it elsewhere.
After the rain the woman cradles her heart, and takes a stand,
Prepared for the battle of wills, she knows she will
Prevail, the rain answered her call after all.
After the rain the world was washed a new, look at the change
And then pray that you don’t get washed away too. So,
After the rain what will you do?
