Bad Day

What do you do when the world starts to crush you?
When life loses all its fun?

What happens when people belittle you
For no other reason than idle amusement?

I shall not question much more,
Though the sadness reigns supreme in my heart,
I am alone now,
Oh won’t this loneliness depart!
I stood no more than two paces from the beating heart
Of life. The blood pumping through veins.
Yet no one turned,
No one responded.

To be completely alone,
Jeered at in the street,
That is isolation,
A loneliness most concrete.

What do you do when the world starts to crush you?
When life loses all its fun?

What happens when people start to belittle you
For no other reason than idle amusement?

You cry, and you run,
Straight into the arms of emptiness
And sadness, with promise of more gloom to come.
