Age and Love

As age crashes in

And beauty is swept away,

Will you still love me

Even though I’m old and grey?

Even as my brain

Becomes addled with shingle,

When every fact and thought

Is suddenly intermingled

Will you still be there?

I will be there for you.

For though we will be stood

Amidst shifting tides,

I know our love shall glide

Like a yatch on soft waters.

That sweet love that

Brought our daughters

Into the world. Our love,

Our tide, our time.

  1. Yes beauty can’t be measured by grace of a person’s face true beauty lies in the richness of a person’s heart so if someone loves somebody then they should love them for the goodness of their hearts. Great piece of writing thanks for sharing according to your convenience please do read some of my poems as well, would love to know what you think about them 🙂
